Jack and Mary’s paths first crossed at Lake Forest High School – when Mary was asked to attempt the pronunciation of a very Italian last name printed on the back of a (very cute) boy’s LFHS Diving hoodie.
For those of you who may not know (yet)– it’s pronounced “Feel-ee-oh”.
Teenage relationships and flings kept them apart – although Jack always had a crush on Mary.
A few years later, the two of them once again living in the same state, Mary posted her playlist hungover riding my bike to get a bagel on her instagram story. Jack, intrigued, enlisted the help of his sister Annie to craft a message.
A week later, Jack countered with a hand-crafted playlist made for Mary, and plans for a first date.
Wednesday post-work cocktails turned into a 5 hour first date, closing down Sparrow in Gold Coast at 1am.
After which, we shared our first kiss in the rain — a theme that would follow us to our engagement day as well.
Over the past six years, we’ve been lucky enough to share our life and relationship with our friends and family both in Chicago and all over the world — and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
